| During the closure of Stockport's art deco Super Cinema and Variety Theatre for a £3,000,000 restoration made possible with the support of The Heritage Lottery Fund providing a grant of £1,900,000, The North West Regional Development Agency providing £650,000 and Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council assisting with a pledge of £300,000 along with the donations and support provided by the general public... We're going on tour!
With an exciting programme of stage productions, classic and international films, organ recitals, and youth productions in venues as diverse as historic churches, theatres, art galleries and stately homes, there's guaranteed to be something for every member of the family. So grab your thermos, pull on your hiking shoes and join us on tour for a summer of entertainment prior to the Plaza's grand reopening on the 20th of November 2009 when you'll be able to join us in your restored and refurbished venue complete with cafe bar open daily for lunches and light refreshments, new stalls bar area, lift, extra seating and a host of other exciting changes, updates of which will be regularly detailed on the Plaza website Kindest Personal Regards, Ted Doan - General Manager  | |
